Welcome to MILLPOND FARM
The Millpond Farm Riding Academy has a comprehensive lesson program to suit a variety of needs. We stress safety first, followed by enjoyment and advancement.
Our policy is to start every new rider, regardless of experience, with an introductory private lesson. This enables us to evaluate the skills of the student. When certain skills are attained, students are moved into semi-private or group lessons, which involve a longer ride time, as well as the ability to learn by watching others. Lifelong friendships have developed during group lessons!
---Introductory Private Lesson: An hour (or more!) of riding instruction, an introduction to grooming, tacking, and the aftercare of the horse.
---Private Lesson: Thirty minutes of intensive riding instruction.
---Semi-Private Lesson: Forty-five minutes of riding instruction with 2 or 3 students.
---Group Lesson: One hour of riding instruction with 4-6 students.

Cancellation Policy: For morning lessons, please try to call before 8am. For afternoon lessons, please call by noon of the lesson day. We appreciate notice for things like vacations, and understand when you pick up a sick child from school. If you call in, we will schedule a make-up lesson. No-shows/no-calls are ineligible for make-ups.
Inclement Weather: Weather in Florida is often unpredictable. We will cancel lessons for lightning and for pouring rain, and will call you when we are doing so. We do not cancel for mild showers. If you have not received a call, we will be expecting you for your lesson. There is a chance that you could arrive for your lesson, even be on your horse, and it could be cancelled if the weather turns sour.
All make-ups must be taken in the month the lesson was missed (except for the last lesson of the month, which must be taken within the following month.)
