Welcome to MILLPOND FARM
Millpond Farm and Equine Clinic is located just west of Tradewinds Park North, nestled amid the hustle and bustle of booming Western Broward County. Established over 30 years ago, Millpond Farm has long served the Equestrian Community as both a full service boarding facility, Equestrian Academy, and a state of the art Equine Clinic. Our certified Riding Instructors design specific riding curricula with both horse and rider in mind, leading your child or young adult to a new level of equestrian achievement.

Welcome back and congrats IEA Middle School Team! Here is an update straight from Jackie!Hello Everyone!
We are happy to be home, safe, sound and successful from Zone Finals! The University of the South in Sewannee, TN was gorgeous. The college was very old greek style buildings, tulips, daffodils, dogwood and cherry blossoms everywhere. The kids got to see what goes on at a frat house on Friday nights, from the sidewalk of course. The equestrian facility was very nice and clean! The horses where top notch! They all measured 15.2 and above. So many teams from the six states attended, that the team parade filled the outdoor ring. They also had an indoor ring for flat and mostly western and reining.
We stayed at the Smokehouse Inn, a very unique and historic hotel/motel in Mounteagle, TN. We enjoyed our evenings (after meetings, banquet, etc.) with the parents and kids from Wallstreet. They stayed at the Smokehouse Inn and gave us 3 of the rooms they did not need. This was wonderful as it was only 2 miles from the college. We sat on the terrace in front of our rooms and enjoyed the wooded scenery, while making new friends.
The show was very competitive and lasted until 3-4 each day. Our girls did great. Madi and Jenna both got a tough draw on the flat. Millpond was well known for our red shirts as I learned at check out from a team in Alabama. Juliana/Millpond also well known for her crutches. She was a trooper! Leaving her crutches at the mounting block to ride! The judge said she has guts! Jenna earned a second for her over fences. The only rider of the day who got lead changes on Red! Madi pulled out a fourth over fences with a beautiful course on Ferris. Jenna won the Team Flat class for a blue ribbon and team plaque on Sammy. All classes had twelve riders in them.
These rides earned our middle school team a second place tie with Birmingham! We are off to the IEA National Finals in Upper Marlborough, Maryland the last weekend of April.
Thank you to Nancy DeJohn and Wendy Salter for your help and support. Thanks to all Millpond IEA team members who helped us get to Team Finals!
Thanks to Alex Murray for going as a volunteer and support for the team. We appreciated the help! Alex is a great boot polisher and wheelchair pusher.
We did make it to Ruby Falls/Lookout Mountain on Sunday afternoon. We all enjoyed the trip and the show!
I was notified by the coaches of Wallstreet and Jeanne Rocco from the College Prep Horse show that three of their team members received full scholarships to Auburn and SCAD (NCAA teams) last week. We would like to see more of you attend this show next year in January. Keep practicing and learning. The grades eligible will be 8th through 12th. I should receive the discounted rates for early sign up in 10 days. I will notify you by e-mail when I have more details. It is an extension of the IEA and we will be attending as a team, in Wellington.
Check Alex, Madi and Jenna on facebook for pictures!
Glad to be back!

MANY thanks to Millpond Equine Clinic for the tours and for the opportunity for our campers to view some surgical procedures.
